DRAW PROCEDURE & PROCESS
I
The draw will be conducted according to Articles 16 and 17 of the UEFA Champions League Regulations, combining a manual draw with a digital system to establish match pairings. The 36 clubs will be sorted into four pots of nine teams based on their UEFA club coefficient rankings, with the titleholder of the UEFA Champions League taking the top seed in Pot 1.
Each team will face eight opponents, playing four matches at home and four away. Teams from the same country cannot be drawn against each other, and no team will face more than two opponents from the same association.
The draw will involve four bowls, one for each pot. Teams are randomly drawn from these bowls, and the remaining matchups are then determined using automated software that ensures the draw meets all established conditions and prevents scheduling conflicts.
NB: A video explaining the draw process will be shown before the event.
